In our work we have found that many women in renewable face tough challenges in a tough sector. They told us that sometimes they end up adopting an approach to leading that does not resonate with them and which struggles to inspire the people around them. There was interest in drawing together a group of women in the sector from across the world for an expedition to find an approach to leading that works for them.

The expedition for women leading in renewable energy was run in partnership with WiRE and The WOW Foundation. It connected a diverse group of women leading in the renewable energy sector.

During the expedition, explorers discovered  their own unique approach to leading and identified common threads from their experience as a community. As the expedition drew to a close, the explorers have captured their learning to offer it to women leading in renewable energy across the world with a themed solo expedition and by sharing their insights on the WE Hub.
