Women Emerging, the global non-profit movement dedicated to reframing leadership so that more women choose to lead, has been selected to join the Olympism365 Innovation Hub as part of Tech365 Incubate. The non-profit movement has been awarded a grant of $31,500 to amplify women’s leadership in sport.
The Olympism365 Innovation Hub is a collaboration between the International Olympic Committee, Beyond Sport, and Women Win, designed to support a diverse community of innovators creating new and impactful approaches to sport for sustainable development. This collaboration creates a community at the intersection of sport, technology, and social impact, that will further sport as a force for good through pioneering ideas and solutions.
Women in sport, despite their significant contributions, remain underrepresented in leadership conversations and often lack access to relevant, contextual support systems. Leadership development opportunities can be linear, one-size-fits-all, and are rarely tailored to the unique challenges faced by women in sport. Many coaches, athletes, administrators, and advocates work in silos, limiting the exchange of insights and slowing the momentum for systemic change.
Women Emerging, in partnership with Olympism365 Innovation and Tech365 Incubate, will run an expedition for women in sport. This expedition will bring together 24 women, who are looking to discover their own approaches to leading. As the expedition ends, these women will share their discoveries, insights, reflections and practical tips on leading with other women on the WE Hub, Women Emerging’s ever evolving, and dynamic, free digital library of practical leadership intelligence generated by women, for women.
Drawing on curated stories, exercises, reflections, and insights, the WE Hub, empowers women to explore leadership on their own terms. A coach, athlete, or administrator facing a challenge can ask the AI a question and receive relevant insights from women with shared experiences.
Julia Middleton, Founder of Women Emerging, said “What makes this innovation (WE Hub) unique is how it blends technology with lived experiences, practical tips and insights. The WE Hub doesn’t tell women how to lead; it helps them discover their own approach of leading. By connecting women across geographies, generations, abilities, aspirations, backgrounds, beliefs, sectors, and specialisms, it transforms leadership from an isolated pursuit into a collective journey.”
Over the next 12 months, Women Emerging will engage 1,000 women in sport across 15 countries, enabling them to share experiences, insights, and practical strategies. Within five years, Women Emerging aims to scale the WE Hub’s reach to over 70 countries, fostering a global community of women leading, who are visible, connected, and empowered.
