There are moments when, as a leader, my energy feels low and it’s hard to stay motivated. In those times, I’ve learned the importance of giving myself space, allowing myself to slow down and offering myself grace. Recognizing that I don’t have to push through at full speed creates the mental room to regain focus and clarity.
I tackle challenges by planning deliberately and taking things one step at a time. Breaking tasks into manageable pieces keeps me from feeling overwhelmed and ensures I can still make progress, even when my energy isn’t at its peak.
When I need a fresh spark, I go back to the drawing board to reconnect with purpose. I reflect on what matters most, reimagine how things could be done differently, and seek ways to bring back the excitement. This process not only restores my own motivation but also allows me to lead with renewed clarity and enthusiasm.
For me, resilience as a leader isn’t about powering through; it’s about self-compassion, structured action, and revisiting purpose. By giving myself space, taking things one by one, and finding ways to reignite excitement, I can navigate low-energy moments with composure and keep moving forward, for both myself and my team.
