Women Emerging Community Event

Is it imposter syndrome or out of your depth?

30th July 2026 | 60-Minute Virtual Panel
2:00 PM CET / 5:30 PM IST

Not all uncertainty in our leading comes from the same place.

Women are often taught to interpret uncertainty in their leading as a sign that they do not belong.

A new role. A bigger challenge. Greater visibility. More responsibility. These moments can bring discomfort and self-doubt, making it difficult to know whether we are experiencing imposter syndrome or simply navigating unfamiliar territory in our leading.

But what if some of the moments when we feel most out of our depth are not signs that we are failing but signs that we are growing?

Join us for July’s Women Emerging Community Event, an interactive event for women across geographies, generations, sectors, and specialisms to learn, grow, inspire, and be inspired on their leading journey.

This month’s event is themed “Is it imposter syndrome or out of your depth?”

What This Conversation Is About

This month’s theme explores a question that sits beneath many leadership experiences:

How do we distinguish between self-doubt that holds us back and the discomfort that comes with growth?

Drawing on the experiences of our speakers, this conversation will explore:

  • How imposter syndrome shows up in women’s leading
  • Why growth and uncertainty often arrive together
  • The difference between feeling inadequate and being stretched by something new
  • How women can continue leading through moments of doubt
  • What becomes possible when we recognise that discomfort is not always a sign to step back.
