Episode Description

In this episode, Julia Middleton, host of the Women Emerging podcast, reflects on the transformative power of love in leadership, intertwining personal milestones with professional insights. She shares the profound experience of welcoming her granddaughter, Poppy, whose existence was discovered during the inaugural Women Emerging Expedition in Bellagio. As Women Emerging expanded over the past nine months, so did Poppy, symbolizing the intertwined growth of personal and collective journeys.

Julia delves into pivotal aspects that have shaped her leadership path: confronting fears and the complexities of expressing them, the significance of female friendships in leadership, attuning to one’s body signals versus the drive to persevere, and, most importantly, maintaining faith. She emphasizes that leadership is not solely about acquiring new knowledge but also about recognizing and affirming the effective practices already in place.

Additionally, Julia offers an intimate glimpse into the creation of her upcoming book, “If That’s Leading, I’m In,” revealing the behind-the-scenes efforts to bring forth stories of women emerging into a new paradigm of authentic leadership.
