Business Development Director Hydrogen – Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
Laura studied Town Planning at Utrecht University because she loves creating spaces and places where people can thrive and live productive and inspirational lives. Since graduating she moved to live in Scotland and lives with her husband and 3 sons close to the city of Stirling. Laura has worked in the development and renewables industry for over 20 years and for the past 10 years with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), a global wind turbine manufacturer. At SGRE she is responsible for the development and delivery of green hydrogen solutions which centres around the integration of hybrid and hydrogen applications for existing and new on- and off- shore wind farms. In her previous roles she was responsible for the delivery of wind farm development projects from inception right through to commercial operation and has delivered projects all over the UK, Europe and Central Asia. In her personal time Laura loves spending time with her family and friends, going out for hikes in the Scottish mountains and she loves working in her garden to switch off and relax after work. She is very much looking forward to being able to travel again for work and personally. She is also working on developing a programme that seeks to deliver clean affordable power to 1 billion women in the world.
