Testimonial from Nigeria Expedition Explorer

“My experience with the Women Emerging Expedition has been a game-changer. I've gained valuable insights, formed lasting connections, and discovered a new sense of purpose. I encourage everyone to take the bold step and join an expedition, it will transform your life and leadership journey.”

What is a solo expedition?

For the first time, we’re offering an expedition designed for individual exploration. The solo, like our other expeditions, follows the expedition methodology   - based in the 4Es - which emerged from the first expedition and has been perfected by expeditions ever since.

The 4Es, the core of the methodology, are as follows: The first of the Es is ‘Essence’, what in your make up influences how you lead. The second is ‘Elements’, how Essence shows up in how you lead. The third is ‘Expression’, how the first two Es shape your day to day leading. The fourth is ‘Energy’, how the flow across the first three Es generates the Energy of leading.

What you will get:

  • A private expedition platform – AI powered, filled with insights, exercises, and multimedia content

  • Complete flexibility - move through at your own pace over 2 months

  • A global network - connect with fellow explorers worldwide

Once you complete the expedition, you’ll gain access to WE Hub, where you can continue the conversation, share insights, and learn from others - wherever you are in the world.

This isn’t a ‘course’  - it’s a space for you to discover, explore, and reframe leading with support and guidance from the Women Emerging methodology and thoughtfully created digital resources ranging from blogs and podcasts to audio slices. By starting the expedition, you become part of the Women Emerging community – a community like nothing you have ever experienced before; it’s a movement of women leading across the world, women from different geographies, generations, sectors, specialisms, backgrounds, beliefs, abilities and aspirations with one thing in common: a desire to explore, to share, and to reframe leading so that more women choose to lead.

Why us?

‘Status quo’ leadership is too often turning women away from leading, at a time when women’s knowledge, expertise and insights are needed more than ever. By changing the optics of what it means to lead, Women Emerging will re-engage women in leading.

Julia Middleton founded Women Emerging in 2020. In 2022, she led an expedition of 24 women to discover an approach to leading that resonates with women. They created a methodology, based in the 4Es, which is now used to guide all expeditions. Julia is host of the Women Emerging podcast and best-selling author of ‘If That's Leading, I'm In.’ She is truly a champion for leading across all backgrounds, and also authored Leading Beyond Authority and Cultural Intelligence.

Over the course of 4 years, Women Emerging has connected thousands of women across the world via an online community and podcast which have allowed women to share their knowledge and experience of leading.

“This expedition not only helped me to undersand myself better as a leader but also equipped me with the tools to step into my power with confidence and authenticity. I’m truly grateful for the experience.”

Pakistan Expedition Explorer

“This expedition reinforced the importance of being mindful of how our inner qualities—whether strengths or areas for growth—manifest in our leading. It is our responsibility to channel this essence positively, ensuring that our actions and decisions reflect our best selves.”
