WOMEN EMERGING
Across the world 'status quo' leadership is turning women away from leading at a time when their knowledge, expertise and insights are needed more than ever.
Women Emerging (WE) is a global movement redefining leadership so that more women say 'If that's leading I'm in'.
In 2022, WE Founder, Julia Middleton led a virtual expedition of 24 women from across the world to explore leadership. On what has become known as the First Expedition the members created a 'map', which provides a framework through which all women can explore leading from their unique perspective and context.
We offer this 'map' and invite you to begin your own expedition. On our Hub we will support you as you go, with free resources, workshops, podcast episodes, interviews and stories, and provide a place for you to share your learning with others in our global community.
Imagine, when enough of us start to lead in a way that works for us, we will begin to redefine what leading truly means.
“I think of Women Emerging as a tiny piece of the huge jigsaw that is women’s empowerment across the world. The really big pieces of the jigsaw cover things like health, rights, careers, mentors, laws. Our piece is simply focussed on expressing what it is to lead in a way that works for women and on pooling our knowledge for the benefit of each other. I hope that by adding this tiny piece we will serve the bigger pieces well and inspire many women to lead in a way that works for them.”
