1. What do you say to yourself when you feel imposter syndrome rising inside you?

It’s okay not be perfect and to feel the way I do, but you are where you are because this is where you are meant to be. I take a breath and focus on spaciousness rather than my feelings.

  1. What are the signs that an individual on your team could be at risk of burning out and what do you do?

I ask individuals when they aren’t burned out what their signs are – as everyone is different. I want to know what it looks like for them, what they will do to help themselves if they see burnout starting, and what they would like me to do if I see it in them.

  1. What do you do to prepare for a difficult conversation with your team?

I write notes of what needs to be said, what feedback the person needs, and also giving them and myself permission to not have all the answers in the moment, but to have time to digest the information and come back.
