WE16 is an expedition designed specifically for sixteen-year-old girls. Over 7 weeks, it combines teacher-led workshops with independent reflective exercises to ignite explorers’ ambitions and give them the skills and confidence to start leading early.

WE16 ran in partnership with Teach for Nigeria in October 2024 till September 2024. Linda Opara was the community manager for this expedition.

WE16 is about capturing the core concepts the fellows have explored during their expedition – Essence, Elements, Expression and Energy – distilling their discoveries and learnings – and cascading that down to the 16-year-old girls they teach. So that they too can consider leading through a new lens and see leadership as something tangible, not an external role or set of qualities they must aspire to, but an innate ability that is within each of us, if we choose to explore it!
