Reply To: What did you learn about the world’s perception of ‘women’ while growing up?

I really love that you brought this up. A friend and I were recently discussing how the “normal images” we grow up seeing, like men being the only ones in leadership positions, can shape how children perceive success. Over time, success begins to look like men, or even worse, children start to think success for women is less than what it is for men. I’m unlearning the messages the world taught me about being a woman by boldly and openly sharing my dreams, achievements, and aspirations. In doing so, I show younger girls what is possible and attainable.
